According to a definition visual effects are "Modifications to a film's images in the course of post-production." Visual effects are fundamentally an extension or sub-category of special effects only. During this process some changes are induced in the images in order to enhance the look of a film or video. The process involves the right amalgamation of live action recording and CGI in order to produce an ambiance that looks real. This effect is a bit complex as it can be a very expensive or very difficult to capture on real time basis.
